Well here it is....The Photo of Narnee & U Joe.
Congratulations for making onto The Horne Journal Narnee, not a bad effort i say.
This photo was taken at Wades' 21st Birthday at a Glenelg fish restaurant.
The year was (we think) 1984..Please confirm the date Lee, Wade Joe..
There is a funny story associated with this photo, we sent this photo into "Hey Hey its Saturday's" funniest photo competition, it wasnt accepted and the photo was returned. Narnee was babysitting us and the mail arrived in a channel 9 envelope, so Narnee opened it and saw the photo & rang Sharon at work. Sharon (who send in the photo) went into a panic and rang me at school got me out of class to prewarn me..memory is a bit vague now but she wasnt mad or anything like that.
Mum has a story associated with this photo too. I bet U Joe has a story too, or a Please Explain..why did you poke your tongue out at your mum?
Anyway it is now the famous photo of Narnee & Joe.

How is the history around that photo eh? I was actually un aware of the Hey Hey saga and the phone call to Sharon, gee wizz (At this point I will tell you this is the second time I am writing this, the 1st time got lost in transfer, so my humor as first written is lost)
I remember the night well, it was in a side street in Glenelg in SA.It was Wade's Birthday, his 21st, that is correct.
My version is that dear old Mum was being contary towards the messing around we were up to. I remember Wade went and sat at some strangers table, it was very funny, you had to be there moment.Mother was attempting to get us to conform to the setting. But we alll had some good cheer and glasses of wisdom in our system so we were having none of that. My face and tongue was by way of protest and a bit of show off. Being caught was the game of it all, not sure what I would have done if she caught me. Mother was in the company of young people that night and was unhappy with our conduct as we would be now if it was all reversed.
It was an extremely funny night and I was virtually stating
' Leave us alone'
There is my contribution, about half of my first effort that got lost, but this will do i reckon.
