Kristy Melbourne City Tour #1

Yesterday was the inaugural Melbourne City Tour #1, we had 4 participants plus myself and they were Mozza, U Joe Trish & Sandra (pronounced Sarndra). We all met at the Flinders St Staion under the clocks at 9.00am, and head accross the road to Fed Square for a coffee. We then took the arcade tour through Melbourne until we stopped at Hardware Lane for another coffee and some french crepes. After this we then walked to Southern Cross station DFO and had a quick look there and also at eh the famous transport mural, which was saved from the old station. Walked past ETIHAD stadium and then onto the Docklands precinct. After a quick rest on the fake lawn we entered the ACTION ZONE, where U Joe and TL (tour leader), climbed up on to the inflateable "FACE OFF" Standing almost 4m off the ground you must try to maintain your balance as you work your way to the middle of this narrow pole. Once you get there your opponent will be waiting and doing his best to knock your block off! There can be only one left standing! Well we nearly wet our pants with screaming laughter, after this we tried the highwire and then that was enough...unreal fun. After this we travelled down to Harbor Town to see the massive giant wheel that doesnt work, had some tenter loins for lunch and then headed back inot Southbank. Along the way we clocked up 10.97 kms and approx 14,000 steps, thanks to Sarndra for bringing the pedometer.

We said our farewells as the man on stilts was cracking a flaming whip and we then caught our trains / cars home.
